Domoticz integration for ADA P1 Meter – community plugin by Szélessáv Műhely

▣ 2026-01-31 ◉ 745 views

A new integration has been developed for the Domoticz user community for the ADA P1 Meter (and the ADA P1 BRIDGE) devices: Szélessáv Műhely has published a plugin usable in the Domoticz environment, which allows P1 smart meter data to be directly integrated into Domoticz. The goal of the solution is for consumption and – where relevant – feed-in data not only to be viewable on a separate interface but also incorporated into Domoticz’s logic, charts, and automation.

The description for the plugin is available on the Szélessáv Műhely website: https://www.szelessavmuhely.hu/hu/p1_energia_monitor

Szélessáv Műhely is a professional workshop connected to the Szélessáv Foundation, which publishes practical materials on energy efficiency and building engineering control topics. Their focus area is creating control solutions based on Domoticz systems (for example heating/cooling and DHW/buffer logics), where the typical goal is to operate household systems more efficiently based on measured data in an automated way. A summary of the workshop’s activities can be found here: https://www.szelessavmuhely.hu/hu/kezdolap

Domoticz is an open-source home automation system that supports a wide range of devices and protocols, capable of integrating various sensors, meters, and controllers. It typically functions as a central control and display layer: providing a web interface, managing device data, and enabling the creation of rules, events, and automations. Because of this, integrating a P1 energy measurement data stream into Domoticz can be especially useful, as monitoring and control logic become available within the same platform. The official Domoticz site is: https://www.domoticz.com/

The integration created by Szélessáv Műhely is open source and available on GitHub, which provides two important advantages from the developer side: firstly, its operation is transparent and auditable; secondly, it can be enhanced and improved collaboratively by the community. The repository can be found here:
https://github.com/szelessavalapitvany/ADA_P1_meter_for_Domoticz

According to the repository description, the plugin is compatible with Domoticz version 2022.1+ and assumes Domoticz Python plugin support. Installation typically happens through the Domoticz plugins directory (by cloning or copying the repository), after which, upon Domoticz restart, the ADA P1 Meter integration can be added among hardware devices and the required parameters configured.

From the GreenHESS side, we consider such community contributions especially valuable as they accelerate the ecosystem’s expansion and make the same energy measurement data available on multiple platforms to users. We would like to thank the Szélessáv Műhely team for creating and publishing the ADA P1 Meter integration in response to Domoticz users’ needs.

Community integrations and developer contributions

GreenHESS aims to make ADA P1 Meter data usable in as many home automation and data visualization environments as possible. If you have created an integration, plugin, script, Home Assistant add-on, Domoticz module, Grafana dashboard, EVCC solution, or any related development, we would be happy if you share it with us.

We are glad to showcase proven, documented community solutions on greenhess.com and link to your repository/description so others can easily use them as well.

Contact and submission: through GreenHESS contact channels or the developer contacts provided with the project materials.
